Funny though, I also got a shipment of nice-looking bacon in the mail. What to do? Jumble everything together, of course. ...

“Good nutrition is vital in the early-years, when young children develop rapidly and lay down eating habits and preferences which last a lifetime, shaping their future health. Health visitors and early-years practitioners are an invaluable source of support and information for parents and carers during these often challenging years. Fried food heart risk 'a myth'
“It is a “myth” that regularly eating fried foods causes heart attacks, researchers have found, as long as you use olive oil or sunflower oil. “They say there is mounting research that it is the type of oil used, and whether or not it has been used before, that really matters. “The latest study, published in the British Medical Journal, found no association...

(Sadly) Fast food becomes the UK's meal of choice...
It pains me to have to post this… it really does… “Fast food, for the first time ever, now makes up more than half of all the meals eaten outside of the home in Britain. The recession, and the subsequent squeeze on disposable income, has encouraged millions of families to cut back on spending on luxuries, especially on meals in restaurants. This has encouraged many to trade...

Recipe - Vegan strawberry ice cream
Makes 1 1/4 quarts (1.25l) Use very ripe, tasty strawberries for this. Rice milk has a neutral flavor so the strawberries should really do most of the work in this. I don’t strain out the seeds in this ice cream. But you can strain them all out, or just some of them. As mentioned, I did try soy milk and didn’t like the taste. But for a richer ice cream, you can replace half of the rice...
