My Diet And The #Hairybikers

Those @hairybikers have really inspired me and since last week I’ve lost 5lbs.  Ok, it’s not much but I’ve never consciously tried to lose weight for any reason so I’m pretty pleased with myself.

So far it’s all been simply down to portion control and not snacking.  I haven’t upped my exercise and that’s the challenge for this coming week.  Oh, in case you wanted to know, when I started this I was 13 stone 12lbs and like I say I’ve lost 5lbs which in new money is 2.2kgs.

I love the way Simon And Dave (get ready for awful pun…) don’t make a meal out of this whole dieting thing.  Like they say, it’s simply a case of moving more and eating healthy, or in my case, eating less.  I really do find them inspiring and this whole thing to me has a simple common sense approach to it.

In case you missed last night’s Hairy Dieters (Hairy Bikers) and the great recipes, then here they are.

Toasted crumpets and warm spiced berries with yoghurt and honey

Masala-marinated chicken with minted yoghurt sauce

The Hairy Bikers’ special cassoulet

Cumin-crusted vegetables

Pan-fried bacon with poached egg and balsamic tomatoes

Enjoy!
